Founded in 1973 by Heinz D. Lichtenberg as an R&D firm,
HDL Research Lab matured into a leading supplier of power technologies for the oil and gas industry.
Diversification
Engineering expertise with equipment operating temperatures as high as +260°C afforded a successful market diversification in 1984, when market
conditions favored a transition to the military and aerospace industry. Thereafter, the firm focused on the design & manufacture of high reliability, custom power supplies.
Small Business Subcontractor of Year
Broadening
its faculties to include world-class customer service and quality, HDL was awarded the 1987 Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award for Region VI, and has since earned preferred supplier business from
industry leaders including Boeing McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and Rockwell International.
Today
HDL continues to practice basic business philosophies, stressing service, quality & technical excellence through its team of dedicated, honest, and caring professionals.
